‘Yes’ campaign seeks funding

from arms companies

Britain in Europe, the campaign group likely to lead the ‘yes’ campaign in a referendum, is targeting foreign arms companies in a bid to raise funds, according to leaked documents seen by the Sunday Times. The companies listed to be targeted by BiE’s fundraisers include French defence companies Thales and EADS and American defence firms Boeing and Lockheed Martin. French bank UBS, and Deutsche Bank are also to be targeted. CSE supporters Kate Hoey and Ian Davidson are quoted in the report criticising the move.
