Overeview

The parliament called the first referendum ever in the history of the Netherlands. It is widely expected to return a yes vote. It is the first time the Dutch have ever had a nationwide referendum, but it would not be binding.

On 1 June 61.6 percent of the Dutch voted against the text and 38.4 in favour.
