Dutch support for constitution decreasing
Hilversum/The Netherlands - The resistance against the EU constitution in The Netherlands is growing. Of those people who already know how they are going to vote on June 1st, 55% is against and 45% in favour of the European constitution - states a recent survey by the Dutch television NOS in co-operation with research agency de Hond.
Many people is irritated by the Government's yes-campaign. Almost 60% thinks it was inappropriate that Prime Minister Balkenende used an important speech during a Rememberance Day for World War II with George W. Bush to promote a Dutch vote in favour of the constitution.
